Your body has been your companion through life. Your body’s nervous system, muscles, tissues, and cells have registered your experiences in the world. Your body remembers and reveals truths about how you have been shaped by your environment in ways that are different from and often out of the reach of your mind.
When you engage in somatic inquiry and exploration, you create space for your body -- also known as your soma -- to speak, be heard, and find support. As you grant your body permission to express its wisdom, your body can clear a path for you to claim the full depth and breadth of your intrinsic worth, dignity, and resilience as a human being.
our time together will focus on:
your body as a wise resource
Your body holds trustworthy information about your beliefs, emotions, and experiences, most of which is hidden from your conscious awareness. Our work together will enable you to tap into the deep well of wisdom your body has been waiting for you to uncover.
your body as a healing guide
As you learn to listen to your body’s cues and messages, you’ll be guided to your own answers in relation to what you need to care for yourself. Your body knows how to move through overwhelm, fear, confusion, etc. and find the way to wholeness and well-being. Our work together will support you in developing a trust in your body’s guidance and your own intuition as part of your healing journey.
your body as a source of resilience
Through our work together, you will have the opportunity to access a felt sense of safety, joy, and ease and to enhance your body’s intrinsic resilience. Our ongoing collaboration can support you to create new neural pathways that strengthen your capacity to navigate and recover from stress and trauma, including developmental/complex trauma and attachment injuries.
Sessions provide an experiential, imaginative, and playful space for you to discover and explore your body’s wisdom and harness its intrinsic healing capacities..
Sessions may be scheduled on a weekly or biweekly (every-other-week basis).
Virtual somatic sessions are available to adults (age 18 or older) living in any geographical location.
